My son hasn't put this down since it arrived—the detachable carrier and metal wheels feel properly sturdy, and that little dog in the front cabin is a brilliant touch. Even the lift-down ramp gets used every single time he loads up his cars.

The loading ramp actually stays put when my daughter rolls the cars up, which surprised me for a wooden toy. The four metal-wheeled cars glide smoothly and the detachable carrier comes off easily for pretend play.

My son spotted the little dog in the front cabin before he even noticed the cars. The metal wheels roll smooth on our hardwood, and the boarding ramp keeps him busy for ages.
