Chaise Ours des Bois

It's sturdier than the typical kids' chair, and the plywood handles my three-year-old's enthusiastic daily climbing without a wobble. The bear silhouette is a sweet touch that fits right into our playroom decor.

My toddler absolutely loves climbing into this bear chair on his own—the shape is charming without being too cartoonish. It's sturdy enough that I don't worry about it tipping over, and the smooth finish means no splinters. Perfect little reading nook seat for his room.

The plywood feels solid and smooth, no sharp edges anywhere, and the bear shape is such a clever design that it's become a permanent reading corner fixture in our living room. My four-year-old treats it like a throne and I've caught our cat napping on it too, which says a lot.
